I've loved the outdoors since childhood, especially roaming free or riding my horse in the nearby woods. Even today, my creekside studio is surrounded by wildlife, birds, gardens and the sounds of nature.
I'm an artist, science teacher, Master Gardener and bird watching enthusiast. It only comes natural that my art is deeply inspired by the wonder and awe of years of observing wildlife. I love using color and whimsy to tell the story in each piece of art.
Aren't we all moved by sunsets, rainbows, baby birds, delicate flowers, or waking up
in the darkness of dawn to bird song?
These moments, when we stop to appreciate them,
feed our SOUL, give us peace
and set our place right in the world.
My hope is that the LIFE that INSPIRED the ART,
will shine through and bring joy in your home.
A beautiful place to create...
Stroll through my gardens and greenhouse to see why nature so deeply inspires my artwork.
On the road with my artwork and my vintage 1953 Chevy pickup truck as my booth. It’s so much fun to share my passion for both.
The truck serves as the backdrop, drawing young and old alike. It’s won top honors at parades and fairs. Here we are at the Overland Park Art Fall Festival and an art event, At the Summer’s Garden.
The International Master Gardener Convention was a 4 day event where I was surrounded by my tribe of garden and wildlife friends. Indoors and out, the truck and the artwork are showstoppers.
I love a happy customer, whether it’s a big original piece or one of my Heartland Littles.
